Requirements for AT&T Phone Service

A high speed Internet connection is required for digital AT&T Phone service. Such Internet connection can be acquired through AT&T Internet. A computer, adapter, or specialized phone is also required for Internet phone service from AT&T. Some VoIP services only work over your computer or by using a special VoIP phone, while other services allow you to use a traditional phone connected to a VoIP adapter.

What is VoIP?

VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) converts your voice into a digital signal that travels over the Internet.
